Basic Salary: £38,000-42,000

Polaris Children Services are looking for a talented individual with a wealth of experience in the social care field to take up a Quality and Learning Development Manager role to join the British Forces Social Work and Community Support Service in Cyprus.The role will be responsible for ensuring that high standards are met across the organisation and that managers and staff are adhering to legislation and company requirements, with a focus on enabling improvement in the quality of service being provided.

We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for driving quality improvement. The successful candidate will contribute and lead on the development and implementation of quality assurance. This includes identifying learning opportunities and training required to improve quality of service using research led and evidence based practice. Delivery of group work and training in line with service plans.

Role Details

This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to lead and collaborate on a number of diverse responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance systems and audit processes.
  • Coordinate/moderate monthly audit activity reporting on outcomes.
  • Support in identifying training needs of staff.
  • Completing audit activities including performance monitoring.

The role is required to be based in Episkopi in order to sit alongside and support the current management team and Command function however, exceptions will be considered for outstanding candidates. Travel will be required across all bases and across the island.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Qualified Social Worker.
  • Significant knowledge of social care, quality assurance and project management.
  • Current knowledge of good practice and/or research findings in working with vulnerable children and families and adults at risk.
  • Experience of using spreadsheets, databases and presentation software.
  • Significant experience of working in social work positions working with children, young people and families and adults
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Experience of analysing complex data including preparing and presenting reports.

This is a full time, permanent position. The role comes with an attractive staring salary of £38-£42k per annum. The hours of work are 37.5 per week.

Polaris are currently negotiating with the MOD to establish an offer of support to applicants that considers the following additional entitlements (only for UKBC’s):

Final agreement has not been established at this point however Polaris will support and lead upon all Brexit requirements to live and work in Cyprus.
