North Lakes Children’s Services is a well-established local provider of therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. We improve the resilience, self-esteem and abilities of all the young people we work with. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly local team on a part time basis to support in the kitchen.  If you are someone with excellent attention-to-detail, high standards and a desire to do your job to the best of your ability every day then a Kitchen Assistant role may be the perfect job for you. 

Main Duties

  • Food prep and support in general as directed by the cook
  • Prepare food for the salad bar
  • Make sandwiches
  • Support in the serving of food
  • Put plates, cutlery and cups through the dishwasher
  • Clean the working and dining areas
  • Put stock away 
  • Other duties as directed

All Applicants Must Have

  • Must be able to work in a team or by themselves
  • Experience in working in a similar environment
  • Able or willing to use kitchen equipment
  • Aware of kitchen hygiene rules
  • Good level of health and fitness- carrying stock up and down to the cellar
  • Stock and maintain an organised manner
  • Good time management
  • Able to work unsupervised and deliver good quality work
  • Able to follow instructions and work through tasks using own initiative
  • Full UK Drivers License and Own a Vehicle- not essential if you live in Brampton as the site is rather remote
